I build secure
systems on AWS.

I help build secure, reliable cloud platforms with a focus on practical risk management, operational stability, and the teams and users who depend on them.

01 — About

Secure systems, from the ground up.

I'm a Senior DevSecOps Engineer with more than a decade in software — at The Walt Disney Company, AdventHealth, and today supporting the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. I came up writing application code, then moved into architecting, building, and securing the systems it runs on.

I stand up systems end to end on AWS — architecting cloud infrastructure, building secure CI/CD pipelines, and wiring in the single sign-on, identity, and access controls that keep sensitive systems both locked down and usable. Recently that's meant AI-driven services with Amazon Bedrock and document processing with Textract OCR. I know my way around the leading AI platforms — including OpenAI and Anthropic — and how to evaluate and integrate them into a solution where they add real value.

Security is a habit, not a checkbox — I build it in from the first commit. And an earlier career in emergency medicine still shapes how I work: level-headed when the stakes are real, and clear with the people around me.
